Black Population in England: Mostly Africans and Carribeans. Identify as black. Thugs, criminals, etc. They take on the ideology of "being black"
Black Population in Canada: Mostly Africans and Carribeans. Identify as black. Thugs, criminals, etc. They take on the ideology of "being black"

You'll notice the ones who stick close to African or Caribbean identity will not fall into this trap. The minute they think they're black and start identifying with Black Americans its a wrap :snoop:
Yo that thread was a classic :dead:

I remember going to see my favorite band as a teenager.

I was probably the only black kid from the hood who listened to the kind of music I do. Hahaha, I probably still am.

This was 2006. Anyway, I was used to being the only black person who wasn't mixed in the room, but what that meant didn't register with me until I went to The Thermal's concert with C.

I walk into the club and I hear my favorite song starting. I was a minor so I couldn't drink. I hated dancing. I loved this song and band so much I started dancing my black ass to the front row.

The bass player of The Thermals is a fine ass black chick. I was in love with her for obvious reasons. Lmao she had hairy arm pits and I still loved her. She was so punk rock.

Anyway, I'm in the front row dancing and singing my ass off. I look on stage and see the bass player singing and dancing. We lock eyes and have a silent conversation.

We recognized we were the only black people in the room. She stopped dancing and singing. So did I. We stared at each other and laughed.

I went to another Thermals' show, and again, she and I had our silent conversation.

I was so in love with Kathy Foster. She's my punk rock dream girl. Our kids would be the shyt.

I've been punk rock since I was 6 years old. I can't help laughing at the shyt I see now. I did ALL of this black rocker shyt ten plus years ago.

I did it ALL. Emo, screamo, ska, dub, grunge, punk, garage, low fi, electronic, classic rock, folk rock, dance rock, art rock, math rock, hardcore, black metal, death metal, and college rock.

It's cool though, ya'll can have that. That ain't even what I'm mad at.

That lifestyle is a lifestyle. It isn't just music. It saves people's lives. It's insulting to see music that gave weirdos a flag to fly being used a prop to look cool.

If it's just music or a tshirt to you you've missed the point of the music.
:handshake::handshake: facts:wow: i love that shyt.

It was always funny getting weird looks because i was the only black kid in class that loved metal. :mjlol:

You improved a whole lot on making smilies. That snoop dogg smiley is genius. :salute:

:AU_JD: That one?
I think folk more laugh at the content and how absurdly funny it is as opposed to looking at the shoddy cut out work on the black outline (More noticeable on the body around the arms), but I've definitely seen progress. I'd fix it up, but I made that and most others for me so minor niggles aside, I'm good with it.

Much thanks for the props, breh.:AU_CD: Still a major fan of your shyt (pause) 'cause even though I went and downloaded ATL in HD, I don't think I coulda pulled off Creepy Darius as good as you did in this one, man.:whew: That one ain't leaving my personal smiley list, it's perfect.

This is the mentality of AA's but not others. Others recognize ethnicity before race. Even @Dip (west Indian) spoke on this
:hubie:I'm Afrodescendant/black before anything

I will say it's funny that AAs cliqued up over internet disses (almost entirely from Canadians and Brits) but were dissing Haitians and African posters for remembering "getting teased" in elementary school:hubie:

I was raised heavily Caribbean and imma always rep that
