This is one of the reasons why I stopped fukking with Dragonball. The powerups got ridiculous after a certain point. "OMG A NEW SUPER SAIYAN!"Asspull new power ups
yeah ok. So? Make Goku a more interesting or compelling character. Not to mention what they did to my boy Gohan 
So much potential yet so wasted.

Goku gets stronger... It's about a show about a nikka punching people. That's it, Goku isn't meant to be a compelling character tbh. He's just extremely likable, Super did build upon the other characters however, I love the new forms. It just shows you can always go beyond your limits (which is dope in my opinion)
