My mom had this same fear regarding me and motorcycles. She lost a friend in an accident when she was in the 11th grade. ( I was a year old at the time)
got my first dirtbike at 11. I really don't have many fears other than rejection

I knew young people who died in drunk driving accidents...and I simply will refuse to get in a car with a person who's been drinking. I can be in the middle of nowhere with no money. I will call my Mom way up North to send an uber than get in the car with someone who's been drinking.
I don't like stuff in my eyes so that's really my fear of swimming the most lol

Went to the gym thinking that I could work out my anger and instead while I was lifting, something broke inside of me where I just felt sad and didn't want to do this anymore. Like what's the point? *sigh* I was struggling to keep it together emotionally where I was afraid if whatever was triggering my emotions further, I would have broke down and started crying in there in front of everybody. I haven't cried in years though because I'm an expert at bottling up and hiding my emotions away from people. That would explains the wrinkles on my forehead and the grey hairs in my beard. Don't bottle or hide your feelings. I've done it for so long that I can't get it out.

There's a book my mom gave me about that concerning managing my fears, procrastination and anxiety called Feel the Fear and do it anyway. Never finished reading it though but it's a good book.
