I don't think losing your virginity is that serious, if you are mature enough to decide that that is what you want to do. For me it was super hyped up but when I happened, it was like "oh, that's it?".
The whole make love thing is not a big deal. You're a virgin. You don't know what you're doing. You can still make love later on.

I think for some people sex is more of a mental and emotional fulfillment or stimulation as well as it is a physical thing. More of revealing whats in their heart, their true feelings, soul bonding, healing, exposing their vunerability and etc. Obviously you can't do that with just anyone.
For men, we are taught in society that sex is a physical thing to prove your strength, manhood and masculinity. They pretty much tell you that if you aren't doing it, then you aren't a man or an adult male. Mix that up with the idea of what society conditions men on what love is supposed to be or how a man should act towards love and you have a man unable to express himself and being cold where it's like "he don't love these hos" when in reality, he probably is holding a lot inside. Many men aren't built like that but fall victim to conditioning. Some guys have managed to not give in to that conditioning society throws at them since they were boys.
