My granny was sweetest, ever. Coco got me thinking about her today.
I miss her so much. Even when I smell certain perfumes I think of her.

I only saw him/meet him that once and the first impression was trash. He visited/stayed with us for like 2 weeks. My mom and uncles would tell me to just ignore him and empathize with him because he's had very bad experiences with dark skinned people in Texas (growing up). But it was just so negative. We couldn't watch tv without him commenting on how ugly a dark skinned man was or how ugly some dark skinned women were if we were in the car. "Did you see that ugly thang?" That type of energy is very toxic to be around. I remember him telling my mom that he was proud of her for not being with an 'ugly' dark skinned man and how they made a beautiful baby (me). So it was only the factor of me being mixed because I was borderline brown skinned. He told me on the phone when I got older not to be with a dark skinned man too. The irony is he cheated on my grand mother when they were married with a dark skinned woman (who is the mother of my aunt who stayed with me and my mom recently). He also went to his prom with a dark skinned woman. He abused my grand mother and slit her neck with a gun when they had a fight and she came to California. She never saw him again. Before she died, he wanted to see her and she said she didn't even want him invited to her funeral. She never spoke on him either. She would sometimes ignore when he was mentioned.
:picard: Was he dark skinned?
