I really don't care anymore about social media validationthe things I write come from the heart. I don't care about being liked or getting the most likes on a post.
good for you. Feel the same exact way about that bullshyt. Think social media actually has caused more harm towards people than good. It has made people become a lot more insecure with themselves as well as antisocial where they don't even know how to communicate anymore. They just make a post and expect everyone in the world to read it or get the memo. It's made people lazy too. It's also made more people delusional or be obsessed in living fantasies instead of living in reality. I always take whatever I see on social media with a what if.Do you have a blog? Or are you referring to like facebook and ig?
I was talking about that in my myspace thread.
The social media ego.
Like you have to be so consistent with social media now.
If you don't post in like 4 days, you will lose hella followers. lol
Back during Myspace, as long as your page looked good, you were good.
We're in such an invasive, exploitative age.
Every part of you must be on display.
Just liking posts or staying active on that shyt is tiring. I see how some people are there like all the time posting and saying things all the time like wow, it's not that serious. They want me to like their posts and not like some people's post but these very same folks will not like my post or even front on me like they don't know me on that shyt. Then they carry that shyt in real life too even. Now that's when I just have to wonder if folks are being for real with this here because when it comes down to real shyt, it's not a fukking social media page where folks can do their little imaginary bullshyt. Folks really treat it like it's a lifeline for real. Imagine if Facebook or any of these social media sites stopped tomorrow, think people might literally freak out, go through withdrawals and even get depressed and suicidal. Do you have a blog? Or are you referring to like facebook and ig?

I feel you boo. I do the networking with social media just because I wanna brand myself and capitalize off it one day. I'm thinking about something bigger. But I'm like you in the sense that I prefer being privy and mysterious. No I don't have a blog.. I don't have a fb account anymore and I'm barely on Snapchat. The only social media I use is instagram. I agree with you I follow so many people who post pictures legit everyday and write the most cringe worthy "inspirational" quotes.. i don't know I just feel like I'm getting sick of it all. People in this day and age crave the social media attention so badly. My ig page is private and it will stay that way. Of course I could thot it up just like the young girls of today but that's not me and I don't care if I get 1,2,12 or 30 likes on my post anymore. I don't care about having followers either I don't want my pictures to be shared. I look at these women on ig today and think damn is that all you have to offer? It's sad that all they aspire to in life is to have the most followers and the most likes on their pictures.

Pepole take that shyt nonsense way too seriously like its life or a job. Funny because when I stopped posting on fb over the summer, 3 people either blocked me or unfriended me and several others unfollowed me.Just liking posts or staying active on that shyt is tiring. I see how some people are there like all the time posting and saying things all the time like wow, it's not that serious. I have a phone number, an email, I tell people where I live and etc if they want to contact me for anything or need me or want to let me know about something. This dumb shyt about only communication through social media and someones friendship or relationship being dependent on it is beyond stupid.
I smh whenever I see someone really trying to live through social media or the internet. That's not a good look at all. I see a lot of people overexaggerate themselves and their accomplishments on that shyt. Have the followers or the friends list with hundreds of thousands of people. Have all these photos and get these likes with the comments over exaggerating themselves and how popular they are like they are some celebrities when no one knows them like that. Claim they have this job or own this company without actually owning it. Theyll even have their own website or have a link to a website to further that idea. After awhile, it's like people aren't being real anymore and they want you to believe all that shyt and not tell the truth. Then they want to diss and hate on people who are real with theirs and are telling the truth. It's ridiculous.
Personally, it's no surprise that so many of these same people are unhappy or not where they want to be putting the wrong energy into the wrong places. It attracts the wrong things.
To your whole post.
To be honest it's more sad than it is funny.
so many of my "friends" I've had to give the side eye to because of the things that they've liked or commented on... at least now I have seen their true colorsI feel you boo.
