Not just yet, when I build my savings and emergency fund up to a comfortable level I will.

This is my dilemma. I mean, i could bring my balance down. But then i'd just end up putting this future vacation on the credit card anyway.
When you use your credit card, you're borrowing money from yourself at 19.99% interest. Not sure why you'd consider it some sort of safety net.
things happen where I may need to use it, plus there are certain benefits with using my credit card than using my debit card or cash. It's all about managing it really well which is what I'm trying to get too right now. Thanks for your input though T! 
got my w2's from work today...now i need my 1099's for my investment income then i can get busy with my tax return and curse uncle sam lol
