Howard University Sorority Lawsuit - City Desk

Reading shyt like this pisses me off :wtb: The sense of entitlement for these kids is :ohlawd:

I'm slightly ashamed to say that I have "interacted" with one of these girls before :snoop:

Where is the sense of entitlement? :skip:

If you take these Greek "public service" organizations at their word and mission statements, there is no reason why these women should not have been inducted.

Would be funny if this lawsuit results in the Alpha chapter of AKA getting kicked off the yard.:skip:

From my understanding their mother's were members of AKA so the daughters were considered "legacies" and they felt they should have been members off the strength of that.

Well, they think because their moms are AKAs, they should be too, just because the applied as "legacies". If the national organization denies you as a legacy, move on and try again. There's always grad chapter. :mjpls:

The fact of the matter is: everyone who qualifies can't make it. Qualifications put you in consideration, not put you on automatically. Orgs reserve the right to pick and choose.

Alpha Chapter will never be gone :wtb: Too many fine ladies comin' outta that chapter :noah:

If they wanted to ensure their entrance into the organization, they should have worked as hard as the other ladies and reaped the benefits from there. My lil sis already knows she better not ever file any legacy papers cause it's weak as fukk. We don't respect "paper" in this family; you gotta put in that work. :mjpls:

They were legacies, but didnt want to go through with the hazing part of the pledge process. They were passed over their freshman year.

They tried to go thru the process the next year, and were denied saying there wasn't enough room. But if you are indeed legacy, you get top priority. (Also, aint no limits on a line. Howard be crossing like 50 mafukkas at a time and shyt)

The Howard AKAs shunned them for snitching on the hazing, which if they were caught they'd be kicked out of the organization at the corporate level.

I'm sure undergrad AKAs will publicly say they dont haze, but if you try to report them for hazing they will shun you and not allow you into their org. :troll:

It's all foolish if you ask me.

The Howard AKAs shunned them for snitching on the hazing,

From my understanding since they applied legacy, their applications go straight to the national body and the chapter members at Howard have no say nor would even know they applied as legacies.

They didn't get picked by their national offices, plain and simple. There was no bias, they just didn't get picked. Lol.

SN: Howard does have caps now. I believe 50 (and the school also caps the number of legacies as well to be "fair" to those who don't have preferential treatment). But considering that they have damn near 400 girls at rushes (:damn:), it's still pretty selective.

but if you try to report them for hazing they will shun you and not allow you into their org.

All we ask is trust :mjpls:

Oh, didnt know it goes straight to corporate and they decide.

This Saturday is my father in laws Alpha ball. I hate having to wear "neutral" colors otherwise I'll be subjected to questions about my interest level (NONE). Thought I left that back in LA w the bloods & crips. :why:
