where the F do you live in relation to work?

I thought my 40 mile/40 minute commute was bad.
Thankfully when I come to Chicago I can leave my car behind and just take the bus to work. Or just work from home.

My response to Dozen was about commuting to work. I can leave my car behind in Michigan when I visit Chicago and get to the Chicago office alot easier and faster than it would if I were at home in Ann Arbor and driving to Detroit every day.

Takes an hr and change each way, office is 35 miles away, and you know Chicago ain't nothing but traffic. I spend 3 hrs on days I take the train/bus

You aint gonna last with that commute. I give you 6 months before you bounce. I bet you're passively looking for other gigs at this point.

I know Chicago is nothing but traffic, I want no parts of it. From where our apartment is, I can just take the bus down Madison into downtown and walk like 2 blocks to work. The only hang up is what traffic will be like during hockey and basketball games. United Center is like 10 blocks away.


I already won a chip with that team, and it has nice building blocks. I made the playoffs even with injured ass Bradshaw/McCoy/ Jennings and useless Fitzgerald. If you dont at least make 2nd round of playoffs, you suck breh.

And yes, I already have started looking for new jobs, the low morale here and the commute ain't worth it. I used to laugh at all the "marketing" girls looking for work-life balance, them white broads had it right the entire time

Hard to go from living in a secluded condo community with zero foot traffic back to a super urban area. Plus my wife would be living alone, and I'm not comfortable with her being around all that by herself.
