Maybe I should mind my own damn business, but what's the point of wearing a Wu-Tang Clan shirt if you don't even know who the hell Wu-Tang Clan are? I've seen that with people wearing Metallica and Nirvana shirts too. Wearing a shirt for a music group that you've never took the time to listen to just miffs me to no end.

How you have a community or people that don’t trust one another and can’t get along?

You can’t. There is no community. There may be a shared identity in regards to a certain characteristic or experience, but nothing beyond that.

To clarify a dysfunctional community isn’t a community - it’s the antithesis of one.

I've seen that with people wearing Metallica and Nirvana shirts too. Wearing a shirt for a music group that you've never took the time to listen to just miffs me to no end.

It makes you look cultured, cool, or more often than not it’s just a nice t shirt or what was available to you.

I own a couple of nice, well fitting, graphic t shirts that are actually weird ass rock band logos that random ass white people come up and ask me about sometimes. But I just like the shirt it’s cool to me.

I don’t think it the dysfunctional part that’s the sole problem. ALL communities are dysfunctional to some extent, but lack of overall trust and inability to get along only make dysfunction an additional obstacle.
