Today I had my first interaction with a cop, two black females at that, and it did NOT go well.

I was accused of having an attitude because I asked a question and it was up from there.

I’m STILL pissed hours later. (I only got a warning but idc, fukk them)

I’m going to buy a House of CB dress to make me feel better.

I gotta think about all the shyt I need to cancel because it’s alarming how blatant these companies have become over their clear support for racists and “soft-racist” people who euphemize Black people never being good enough. NFL is small potatoes for me personally, because I wasn’t a fan but broadening to rainforest, it’s time to let it go. Target will be easy once my kid is out of diapers but that’s still not really an excuse. Ngl it feels a bit overwhelming because I’m positive if I actually start searching I’ll have a big list of companies I wouldn’t fukk with. It should become a little easier financially though in the next few months and I strongly prefer shopping locally (I’m in partial maga country as it is so welp). Twitter also was easy, while I keep an account to see a full post of what may be shared, I don’t use it as in post or interact with any content. TikTok app at least got deleted, we used to only watch parrot tok pretty much but I don’t even want them knowing my preferences. Twenty some years of online history and google has just about everything I do.

I should’ve seen it coming, not that there’s something I can control or stop but all these conservatives buying up media outlets was a pretty strong signal of how they were going to “reclaim” America and undo whatever progress they can. Sigh

Yeah I have been doing the same. I own a business and I used to buy a lot from Uline but the owner is hardcore MAGA so I have been dialing that down. Target was easy since our kids are older and Twitter been bushed. I only did TikTok for my business but I think Black folks need to de-prioritize that fast since I fear it will be literally weaponized against us.

I remember when I was into Under Armour for all my exercise gear but the founder needlessly outed himself a while back I even recently learned they created a “Freedom” line, exactly what it sounds like, flags and camo plastered stupidly over regular ass items- haven’t tossed my shyt but where I was regularly buying 4-5 pieces a quarter ~10 years ago to nothing immediately.

Last official day of summer. Used a big chunk of the day clearing out my closest of old clothes. I want to have more of a minimalist wardrobe moving forward. Fewer, more versatile pieces that are very well made.
