Had to wait until next week when I get paid from my other job to pay my car off I so wanted to do it today but my daughter and I needed coats. Her wrists are nearly showing in the other one :sadbron:She needs some other things as well and she needed them like yesterday. I lost another button on my coat and discovered there was an ever growing hole in one of the pockets. If I keep my finger out if it may stop growing. Be raggedy looking while you're paying off debt, brehs.

When this shyt is all said and done, I swear i'm balling out!! Frugal living sucks.

I'm so proud of you. Your daughter is gonna be way ahead of the game if you pass down all that financial wit. Cut yourself some slack though, its quite alright to indulge on necessities if that makes sense.

But yes, frugal living does suck. Not that i'm living frugally, but we're somewhat overextending ourselves for the sake of our careers right now. Letting credit card debt slowly pile up, living in 2 cities, etc. Thankfully its just temporary, but at the same time I'm blessed to think that this is what me and me wife consider our "sacrifice"

Thank you. I honestly appreciate it. Family just looks at me like I'm retarded, not really grasping or trying to care how important the end game is to me. I'm definitely passing down what I'm learning to my daughter...she talks a lot about saving and putting money in her piggy bank.

How long will you and your wife be living in two cities? With your two incomes, your finances will be straight but I can imagine being apart can be both emtionally and physically difficult.

Countdown to July 2015. All things considered, we're doing fine and the wife isnt making surgeon money yet. The issue for us is the dreaded $250K worth of her school loans, that likes to hit us up for payment from time to time even though she's technically in deferment. But there is comfort in knowing the end game and being able to visualize it.

On a side note, I'm ready to have some damn kids. :noah:

250k! Goodness, but with two incomes you're good.

I listen to Dave Ramsey's podcast and there was a couple on there with a situation similar to yours. The wife was a physician and worked extra hours at one of those patient first/emergency care type places and they basically lived on the husband's income for like 2 years while they tossed her income to the debt. I think they had about the same amount.

You're still in the condo right? Wait until you have a yard or a least a play room before you have kids. They have so much crap it's ridiculous!
