Because I was a part time student for a single semester. I didn't receive a lot of money for loans that year (didn't even cover 50% of my tuition) and I remember I was asked to pay back part of my loans that semester (which I did). This is some bullshyt.

Oh well that sounds legal. If the stipulation of the grant was that you be full time you at least owe the grant money for that semester.
