Definitely one of the stronger King adaptations. Shot really well and especially the pacing was pulled off well imo for the fact that they're just walking.

Of course with King you get a magical negro, and there were times where it really got pushed far but the performance was done so well that it didn't ruin it for me.

McVries is white in the book. Only black walker I remember in the book died second and was called a n-word by Barkovitch

Watching it now - This is classic Stephen King.

About an hour into it - these characters are HELLA wordy and nerdy.

Enjoyed it.
Only real nitpick was that the ethnicities and looks didn't really match the characters.
This dude black as Akon and his name is art baker?
Asian Olson?
Native American with a hick name.

It's based on a stephen king book. Rather them give different races/actors some shine than trying to make an all white cast to fit the names :manny:

Olsen is adopted
Native American kids were taken from their homes and given white sounding names
Black American named Arthur Baker isn't strange. The vast majority of us have non African names
