dawg... he's 5th all time in scoring. i think he's chasing that and one more ring. whichever one comes first.

There is no way he catches Kareem. He definitely wants another ring or two. Unfortunately, he will have to do something he hasn't had to do since Shaq was there to get it, DEFER.

Overall, he takes bad shots and shoots horrible from field. He is a taller version of AI right now. Laker fans need to be realistic. Bynum was an all-star and depending on how Dwight comes back from back surgery, he may be the best center in the game. Bynum's inability to play well at times has a lot to do with Kobe's iso play that kills the overall offensive rhythm.

If there is a weakness on LA, it is perimeter defense. They need an athletic wing that can play defense and create shots in the offense for himself and others. Iguodala is perfect for that team and can run the point forward spot ala pippen. How you can get and afford him with yalls cap situation is another topic.

This. Only four players have scored more than him at this point: Wilt, MJ, the Mailman, and Kareem. He just finished a season in which he averaged 28 points per game--the 6th best average of his 16-year career. He hasn't really showed any signs of slowing down much. Assuming he stays healthy and plays in every game over the next 4 years (probably not likely but :manny: you get my point), he should be in striking distance of the all-time record. He will certainly have surpassed MJ, which is probably motivation enough for him. If his production tails off over this stretch (which is no guarantee considering the rate at which he scored this year) and he averages something like 25 points per game, he will still score 8,200 points at the close of the 2016 season. That would leave him with a total of 37,684 points, 703 points off the record. :scusthov: Give him 5 more healthy seasons and we have a new all-time scoring leader. :whoo:

By the way, opportunity to enhance your legacy > than chance you will hurt your numbers a little.

If he gets another ring I doubt he'll play another season.

:childplease: Kobe is trying to get 7 rings if at all possible. If he wins number 6, he will be on a mission for #7. He would shut everything down, no interviews, no commercials, Nessa and kids out of the house. Dude would be on some Liam Neeson from Taken for that ring.

Agreed...But you can only play who you're playing..you have to measure people in their respective era...Babe Ruth would be an avrage ballplayer in this MLB...Wilt completely dominated the era

Those Kobe and Shaq teams played who in the finals...Do I need to bring up the 76ers roster?
..AI and the dudes that made the Rocky statue
