The Lox birthed so many rappers:

Fabolous, Cam'ron, Banks, Beanie Sigel, Troy Ave, 50 Cent (pre GRODT), Mase,

Nobody was talking that street fly shyt like them before that. I mean you had Kane but he wasn't violent, his was more smooth. G Rap was violent but not as slick. Raekwon was too abstract.

The Lox really invented this exact style that was completely relatable but so clever and street. Nobody was rapping exactly like them before they came out. Now you see their DNA in so many rappers

Lox definitely inspired a lot of rappers.
So many. It's funny how even the rappers around them changed their styles after being introduced to the Lox. Biggie got much more clever between RTD and LAD even. Biggie used to be much more rough and violent. You can tell the Lox style rubbed off on him

theres a reason why Jada without a worthwhile album to his name is dropped in so many other rappers top 5.

if Troy saw his name mentioned in with those rappers he'd be :krs:.

I was listening to The Ghost in the Shell mixtape today, and Styles had that slick murderous talk hardcore street shyt perfected.

"Dog you a dead man, Put something hot in your headband, Do it for my nikkas in the back of the fed van, fukk with S.P, shyt bag and a bed pan"
"Better read the psalms to your man, When I kick in the door, Two nines in the palms of my hands"
"Every body want Jesus to come, Well i can send you to him, And all i need is my weed and my gun, I might shoot you on the stoop of the church"
"Death is close friend of mine... Manslaughter is my main man"

^^ was gonna say big l

Big L was way more horrorcore style before the Lox came out. even his first album is full of much more violent style but he had a lot of punchlines

the Lox just rap that slick talk that is the blueprint for a lot of styles today. The way they rapped about their cars, their clothes, what they drank, was just said so differently than everyone else

g rap >>>>>>>>>>>> the lox this thread to me is kinda of backwards u pay homage to the lox and say they prefected street rap before g rap i mean styles on one of his dvd's payed homage saying he was the inventor and perfecter of that street rap style.
