The Lox birthed so many rappers:

Fabolous, Cam'ron, Banks, Beanie Sigel, Troy Ave, 50 Cent (pre GRODT), Mase,

Nobody was talking that street fly shyt like them before that. I mean you had Kane but he wasn't violent, his was more smooth. G Rap was violent but not as slick. Raekwon was too abstract.

The Lox really invented this exact style that was completely relatable but so clever and street. Nobody was rapping exactly like them before they came out. Now you see their DNA in so many rappers

So many. It's funny how even the rappers around them changed their styles after being introduced to the Lox. Biggie got much more clever between RTD and LAD even. Biggie used to be much more rough and violent. You can tell the Lox style rubbed off on him
