The Lox We Are The Streets 20th Anniversary Thread

20 years ago this month, The Lox dropped their sophomore album We Are The Streets. Only difference this go around it was on Ruff Ryders instead of Bad Boy. A year prior, they were in full swing of their "Let The Lox Go" campaign until Puff finally gave them their wish and released them from Bad Boy. In retrospect, some of the beats on here didn't age well at all with some of Swizz production. But I'll say it's still a certified street banger. Winter of 00 this was all the streets were playing, no pun intended.

Pretty much every track on there is at least playable, it was non stop grimy rhymes and RR production, probably at it's best. I don't play these tracks like I used to, but I still love it. This is lyrically probably The Lox at their absolute height, between this, and the mixtape solo run between this and 2005, they gave the game classics.
