he the type of player to let himself go and not be motivated enough to do it again after he wins 1. So i think 1 is his cap. He definitely gaining weight and putting it on cruise control after his first ring. But i think he will get one.
Ant Haliburton Brunson too. All these guys have had ascending arcs the last two years. Now mind you this garbage Laker front office is rumored to want punt the next two years as if you’ll always have a championship window. Meanwhile Luka’s peers are getting MVPs, Rings, getting further in the playoffs etc.
This is Luka’s most important year of his career. If he doesn’t finish the year in shape and improves his defense then he isn’t a #1 option.
Another reason why it’s hilarious how some Laker (K*be) fans are thirsty to move on from Bron as if he isn’t a better defender at 40 than Luka is now.

When Bron leaves this loser/entitled fanbase and Luka leaves in three years because he’ll realize that the Lakers are a terribly ran organization living off past success. What a great day that will be.
