Learning day trading now. Only need 2k to start. Up to $3720 since the 11th. These are quick in and outs. For a portfolio my size, i make about 10 to 30% gains and dip. Do this 5 to 6 times a day. Goal is to make $200 a day at minimum but will go for more if the market is right and never chase losses and never lose more than $100 a day. I know im not gonna win every day so losing half a days winnining is my strategy to build. So far ive had 8 wins and 4 losses. I check back in a month
What's the time commitment like for you? Want to look into this if I can do with my full-time job.

Mon thru thursday as i work fri,sat and sunday. I usually get my profits in the first 2 to 3 hours of opening.

Could you talk about that if you don't mind? I've been curious about the retro console market. How did you get set up and what were the profit margins like? Also, how did you get shut down?

Id be horrified of being addicted if i moved like this.
Ive considered it, but only if the whole process was automated and running on a program . Activey making decisions and watching the ups and downs sounds like crack. I'd need a system where i could code parameters into a trading algo and then walk away. Then Check back in a few days a later after the system has ran hundreds of trades like
What ive heard is you get reeled in with the good days, but then when a bear market hits you end up stressed out trying to make back losses.
Ive looked into coding such a model, but if im being honest my math skills arent up to par. Id need better regression analysis, statistics, linalg, etc skills. Its not so much about gains, but quantifying the loss potential of a trade which is hard as hell. Any yokel can see upside potential in a biotech or tech stock, but limitting the loss potential is the goal. Its doing this on dozens of daily trades that makes me scratch my head

6 months later and still strong. Made 22k since this post. I do nothing but options and keep track of 7 tickers and usually am in an out within the first 10 mins of opening. Doesnt matter if market is up or down, i make money. I do not keep more than 6k in my portfolio. Once i hit above it. I take profits out. This helps me from over trading and going big on position size. With my profits ive made, i was able to pay off my entire car note after getting it a year ago. Learning to day trade options has been the best choice i ever made in my life.
Made $500 today in 30 seconds.
