Listening to some of the album now. Eminem was a monster back when he was young, angry, and on drugs 24/7. :wow:

The third verse of "Criminal," his verse on "Remember Me," "The Way I Am," "Who Knew," "Stan," "I'm Back," the second verse of "Amityville," "bytch Please II," the second verse of "Kill You"............there was a lot of dope tracks here. I can't listen to "Kim" anymore. The screaming makes it really uncomfortable. :scust: It's a shame because you could rap on the instrumental to that. Same as the "Under the Influence" beat.

In spite of his shortcomings as an artist (like going overboard with the shock humor), Eminem in his prime was otherworldly with his mic skills. His rhyme schemes, his flows, his delivery, his confidence, his audacity..........as someone who writes verses, I still listen to Em's old stuff and wonder how he could pull some of this stuff off. :mindblown:

20th anniversary for this album is coming up, so I took a trip down memory lane and re listened to the album.

It holds up for the most part but the second half kind of lags.

The lyrics are still sharp

You know you kept it hip hop when RBX and Sticky Fingaz are one of the few features on the album :wow:

The first time I heard the album reminded me of when I watched Eddie Murphy’s Raw or Chris Rock Bigger and Blacker for the first time.

For those who are too young to remember how big this album, it went diamond during the boy band and TLR era

I think a big part of why Eminem is different now is that hes embraced his old inner white guy

He used to have a blaccent, its slight but it's there

I'm always like :ohhh:when I hear him talk now compared to back then

I always wonder why Eminem has annoying ass accent voice unlike old Eminem 99-2003?.

I remember Eminem would spit the fire freestyle on the beat. Now Eminem would say "Cut the beat" before he's freestyling. I was like :wtf: happened to Eminem

Then I wonder he wasn't fukk with drugs anymore unlike old Eminem was heavily involved with drugs that he would be in zone like :lawd: that he would spit the fire.

Also, his best friend Proof is gone. He was depressed as fukk. Like he don't give a shyt anymore.

Lol....anybody remember this video?

Probably not the accent you talking about but prime example of blaccent

He regular white now
