Half the country does not make enough money in a year to buy a new car. People can't afford to buy homes. It keeps getting more and more out of reach. The only reason the elite don't feel it yet is because the people below them are using debt to bridge the gap. The average car loan term is 6 years and continues to grow.

As long as people can make monthly payments the fact that these things are unaffordable is somewhat mitigated but even those payments are constantly growing at an alarming rate.

It's also why they gin up culture wars and racial divide as a distraction

Can u explain how it correlates to my point?

I'm doing this but I'm a childless male making on the edge of $100K a year with minimal living expenses well under $1500 a month including rent, utilities, and all bills combined. I can easily pump at minimum a grand into the stock market and it has zero impact on my finances.

If you think the average worker who likely has a family to do and has a household income of around $80K can do that you're delusional. People raising children on median incomes don't have that level of disposable income to do stuff like that.

Normal people don't have all this wiggle room and with responsibilities like children their freedom is limited.
