I disagree. I think it’s way more challenging to increase the amount of weight you can lift than to get your wind up
I do both, and believe me....runners are a much rarer breed. Folks don't like to run. Anybody can lay on their back and do reps.

When it comes to hitting that pavement and putting in that road work, most choose not to.

People bouncing medicine balls.

People doing heavy deadlifts on the section of the floor that's not padded.

Also, cardio is much more challenging than everything you mentioned. Everything

Cardio isn't building muscle so why the shade on lifting? They're two different goals.

At my gym there's this loud ass weirdo that's CONSTANTLY throwing punches and grunting and shyt.

And in general them loud ass attention whores get on my nerves. Yelling the songs they're listening to, walking back and forth to every machine like they own the place
If they're actually lifting serious weight i don't give a fukk.


If they're just doing some casual shyt then yeah that'd be annoying.

But most people in the gym are casuals, so I'm more annoyed at their existence in the gym.

Go big or go home.

No...the most annoying people in the gym are dudes grunting, squealing, screaming, and slamming 40lb barbells like they're in the gold medal round of the clean and jerk at the Olympics. Loud and annoying for no damn reason.

I'm a beast when it comes to lifting. No shade at all. Just stating it's not very hard in comparison to running multiple miles or a high speed intervals.

Part of working out is people pushing themselves hard. I have noise cancelling headphones on so I don't really hear shyt. And its like i've seen it, but I don't really pay attention to shyt but myself when I workout. :manny:

I understand being friendly with everyone. But when it turns into some high school/ cool kids club/ gossip shyt I be like :dahell: you a grown ass man over here bothered about the chick on the treadmill and what she told the chick on the stairclimber last week about you :dahell:


I've seen nikkaz literally cancel their membership because they had "beef" with a group of women in the yoga class (the women basically stopped being so friendly them giving hugs everyday etc) or because people stopped treating them like celebrities when they walk in (continue their workout instead of stopping to talk for half hour)

Breh…I used the 40lb example for a reason. The dudes putting up numbers have to grunt and yell to eek out a rep. I’ve been there and have zero smoke for them.

The guys im talking about are DYEL types pushing minimal weight and being obnoxious for no reason. Throwing around dumbbells and running ego plays around people who

A. Don’t care how much weight they’re pushing
B. Putting up more weight, with less theatrics

I agree most people don’t like to run. But with any form of cardio it’s something you can do almost every day without putting too much stress on the body. You can’t lift heavy like that. For instance you shouldn’t be be doing heavy squats with the same frequency that you run. You’ll injure yourself

All of that is fine if you're squatting 365 for 5 reps or something. I get that.

I'm talking about the guys doing lat pull-downs on 60 lbs. who complete a set then sit there on their phone chilling.
