Taking data for only England, a 2013 IPPR survey reported that the proportion of British Nigerian pupils gaining 5 A*–C grades at GCSE (including Maths and English) in 2010–2011 was 21.8 percentage points higher than the England mean of 59.6 per cent.

Having said that, im not entirely convinced that Nigerians have a great culture overall. If they did, Nigeria would be a great, and powerful nation

Black IQ is higher than 84; at around 89-90. Black kids (4yrs old) tend to score pretty high at around 95 on average. But as time goes on, their IQ decreases settling at 87 (on average - still higher than most successful/competent nation IQs). I think it has more to do with environment overall that IQ decreases, that and lack of motivation due to environmental concerns surrounding the average Black person.

Yup. They are also behind Timbuktu. Smartest Africans are Igbo, Mande(mandinka and bambara in particular), Fulani, or Akan. The Mande top the group though. They had some of the most advanced kingdoms in west Africa (Mali empire, Songhai etc.).

IMO South Africans are the smartest africans. This includes other surrounding countries like Botswana and Namibia.

I don't know much about the Igbo, but a while back I was listening to a BBC documentary about a guy from Mali that was involved in some kind of massive bank fraud. While the narrator was filling in the background information on the guy involved in the fraud; the narrator mentioned that the section of Mali that the man was from produced some of the top mathematicians in the World. One of the dude's that that portion of Mali produced, became the lead engineer on several NASA missions to places like the Sun, Jupiter, Mars and Venus. Oh yea and he later ran for President of Mali.

This shouldn't surprise anyone, non-European immigrant groups (excluding refugee groups like Salvadorans) always have a much higher average income, higher education rates, and are far more likely to be shown in higher education. See: Indian-Americans, Chinese-Americans, Ghanian-Americans, Trinidadian-Americans, Korean-Americans, etc.

Don't forget, a lot of surveys still count Nigerian-Americans as "African-Americans" skewing the data to show better results for African-Americans than the reality.
That's why nationality and differentiation between other Black groups in the US is important, we're all a part of the African Diaspora, but we have different needs and focuses than them.
I've seen from med school and law school classes that we're near outnumbered by non AA Black groups.

I see that here in Maryland in the DC area. Most black people who live on the west side of the beltway in Montgomery County, MD, NW DC and Northern Virginia ain't the descendants of slaves but they are recent African immigrants. These are the only "black people" who aren't opposed to living amongst cacs in MoCo and NoVa alongside Carlton Banks types and weird often emotionally damaged transracial adoptees who were raised by white people since infancy. That's because white people are hardcore passive aggressive racist towards black people in the DC area. Race relations haven't really been repaired since the riots of the 60's generations ago. White people and black people in the DC area aren't on speaking terms like two roommates beefing.

I've noticed wypipo are painting African immigrants as the new model minority. I've heard cacs say how they love how Africans "speak proper" and "don't have a chip on their shoulder". Truth be told, African immigrants got more in common with Asian immigrants than African immigrants have in common with black people. Both African and Asian immigrants can't come to America unless they have money and or education and resources already. The only exceptions for both African and Asian immigrants are war refugees who often turn out being stuck in a cycle of poverty and sometimes being ghetto and violent in both cases (i.e. Liberians, Cambodians) assimilating to the worst of their surroundings. And both Asians and Africans who immigrate here with money tend to actively look down on black people in the same fashion as cacs.

There isn’t an overall Nigerian “culture” per se, there’s culture differences by tribe, state, North/South divide, generation, and class.
And Nigeria is one of the strongest post colonial nation, especially considering it wasn’t backed by a world power like Singapore or given massive subsidies + it has crippling divisions.
