I'm going to be honest and I've said this since 2002-2003, Kobe is a more talented basketball player then Jordan. Now Jordan is a better athlete and a better on ball defender, but other then that there's nothing mike can do that kobe can't especially offensively. Everything else is close but Bryant has better handles, better footwork, and is a much better shooter, especially from long range. It's obvious when you watch them play, you can make the argument mike is a smarter player but not more talented, especially if we're talking strictly basketball skills where Kobe takes a backseat to no one in the history of this game The difference between these 2 is eras, teammates, and accolades, but never talent

Talent is "natural aptitude or skill"
Talent is Magic's court vision
Skill is Kawhi's 3PT shot that he acquired over time

I agree^^^

Jordan was naturally quicker, stronger, had better hops, and more efficient in his execution.

Kobe was a watered down version of that...... who shot 3's

Footwork is about even.

I think Jordan is more naturally talented.

Kobe forged a more flashy handle.....and shot more 3's

At the end of the day, Kobe is just more skilled at handling the ball(and hoisting 3's), but that's the era he came up in.

I'd say Kobe was the most skilled....Jordan more naturally talented.

Curry and the scary part is, I don't think we've seen him at his absolute highest potential. I think he has another gear in him that he will probably never realize in his playing career.
How is there MORE to an elite shooter and finishing player with limited athleticism and garbage durability :hhh: he also isnt very good defensively so I don't see what facet you're seeing MASSIVE improvement from. He isn't designed to be a floor general either, he makes goofy ass passes often. I mean we already saw him drop an incredible offensive season with his best performances on a nightly basis, we aren't gonna see much more than that lol

As far as natural god given talent goes it's MJ and Lebron. Talent gives a player an advantage when developing skills. Example Lebron's speed and vision or MJ's quickness and explosiveness coupled with hang time.

I disagree. There isn't a single facet of the game outside 3 point shooting that Kobe is better than Jordan at, on the other hand MJ is a far superior slasher, better midgrange game, better post play, better defensively, better ball handler etc. heck I will argue Tmac is more talented than Kobe if you consider him to be a shooting guard never mind Jordan.
Michael Jordan played in a pre-zone era, Kobe would put up even better numbers without zone defenses in the 80's and into the 90's. I think MJ is the better player but in terms of skills/talent Kobe is above him. It's testament to a guys talent when dudes like Kobe and LeBron were competing against NBA players as teenagers, they are prodigious talents.

There is no way you can watch Kobe play, and say MJ has better handles. If we're talking pure handles MJ isn't near the best. Kobe has better handles, footwork, and is a better overall shooter factoring in his elite midrange game, and superior free throw and three point shooting. MJ's advantages are his I.Q. and ability to get to his spots on the floor at will, he was a slightly better athlete, and he had larger hands.

Also, you can argue T-Mac to be the most talented 2-guard of All-Time. He was never a big practice player, Jeff Van Gundy spoke on that, he was a guy who would take naps before games miss pregames and drop 40. 6'9, super smooth, great athlete, a guy who could behind the back dribble out the post, hit you with a Shammgod, a threat to pull from anywhere with range. Kobe was a gym rat, T-Mac was a natural.

I understand what people are saying.

Flashy shake n bake handles are only good for aesthetics.

Take a guy like Kevin Johnson and compare his ability to get pass people to Allen Iverson.

KJ wasn't as fancy, but he was just as effective getting to the rim.

Iverson was more talented in terms of athleticism, but blowing pass people, and getting to the rim

KJ was simple, yet just as unstoppable off the dribble drive
