Good shyt. I read that article not even realizing you wrote it, and even though I've complimented your writing before(and so has everyone else here), I was still a little taken aback to see that you wrote it. The level of polish and thoughtfulness in the article is impressive, even compared to other professionally written pieces out there.
But I'm glad you've pointed out everything you did about Morey, it's like he has entranced every person on the internet with his cryptic talk of "blah blah blah innovation, blah blah advanced analytics" into thinking he's a genius, even though he's made more than a few poor moves the past few years; moves that any other gm would be endlessly lambasted for.If Morey is a genius of anything, it's being able to constantly spin things in favor and shaping his own image, because his gm career has reeked of mediocrity really, and this shyt with Parson's is just icing on the cake. He deserves to be exposed for not being as good as he says he is.

I really enjoyed how you called out Simmons and the other writers and media folk in a way that was not just saying "you all are in on it" but instead like "explain yourselves, we know you know what you are talking about most of the time, we don't understand what you are seeing here in this guy and his moves, break it down with fact, show us that you are not in on it".
I would love to see an established sports writer take on his article, to validate the nonsense that has been shoved down our throats.

As a long time Rockets fan I've went through all the phases with this guy. I was happy when he got the job. I talked myself into a lot of his early moves. I was happy he brought us Harden. But slowly a lot of the moves have begun to look really suspect in hind sight. And this off season was clearly a massive misfire or at the very least a terrible miscalculation. Finally, I've come over to the line of thinking that you have been singing for a couple years now. Morey is much closer to fraudulent than competent. I especially enjoyed the making moves to just make moves part.
I passed this along to a buddy of mine that works at 97.5 in Houston...but he's such a Morey believer I don't know what he'll do with it. But hopefully he'll do the right thing and bring it to the masses back in the city.
