Black people need to come to the realization that hip-hop represents us globally for better or worse. We are judged by our worse but we also actualize that negativity by holding defacto racial drafts, kicking out our most ambitious and studious members and allowing our "worse" to speak/represent us unimpeded.

not just the movie, but the movie did put the historical origins of the word into perspective. You look at how black people were viewed back then and how they are in todays society and its not that far off. There was racism in the 60's and 70's and it still goes on today. I know its just a word but black people sound so fukking stupid using the word. Denzel won a fukking Oscar for literally referring to a white man as his nikka, and Halley Berry won an Oscar for letting a racist corrections officer rape her on camera. Black people as a whole has settle for bullshyt. Old black people for the most part are the only ones that speak up. I'm still young enough to where I should try to do something. fukk it and I don't want my kids saying it.
