So.... move. It ain’t the 1800s when you have to horse and buggy it across the desert for weeks to relocate. Just fukking move
I was a case manager at a homeless shelter, most of my clients outside of a few with mental issues worked, in many cases people lived out of their cars. If it were that simple my job and my field wouldnt have even been necessary. I am always amazed at the lack of empathy and sheer "i got mines so fukk everyone else" mentality americans take when others who are busting their ass, in one instance, i had a mom workign 3 jobs and the father worked 2 and they barely were making it, but according to you, the solution is "this aint the 1800s just move". As if cheaper places in america arent struggling as well again, due to wage stagnation.
You dont really see how the capitalist system teaches us that doing the right thing, or feeling anything for anyone not related to you is somehow a "handout" or "people are lazy, stunted on IG with their checks" until you leave america and realize other societies are trying their best to take care of their citizens.
Whats the point of having a society if were not going to take care of each other. Everyone cant be saved, after 11 years in that field i realize that, but alot of yall dont see that if this was a movie, yall would be the heartless, shallow antagonists more concerned with how someone spent a 1400 check than Netflix and Amazon paying nothing as they contribute to the wage stagnation and income inequality i just talked about.
