They just added the late fee permanently![]()
Go find another spot while other landlords are desperate and willing to negociate.

If you ever were to rent out your condo, what dollar amount over your mortgage would you think would be fair to charge the tenant?
Mind you, you would still be responsible for insurance, property tax and all repairs and maintenance.
No ones forcing you to stay in the Bay Area. Plenty (literally everywhere) in the country is cheaper. MoveI was a case manager at a homeless shelter, most of my clients outside of a few with mental issues worked, in many cases people lived out of their cars. If it were that simple my job and my field wouldnt have even been necessary. I am always amazed at the lack of empathy and sheer "i got mines so fukk everyone else" mentality americans take when others who are busting their ass, in one instance, i had a mom workign 3 jobs and the father worked 2 and they barely were making it, but according to you, the solution is "this aint the 1800s just move". As if cheaper places in america arent struggling as well again, due to wage stagnation.
You dont really see how the capitalist system teaches us that doing the right thing, or feeling anything for anyone not related to you is somehow a "handout" or "people are lazy, stunted on IG with their checks" until you leave america and realize other societies are trying their best to take care of their citizens.
Whats the point of having a society if were not going to take care of each other. Everyone cant be saved, after 11 years in that field i realize that, but alot of yall dont see that if this was a movie, yall would be the heartless, shallow antagonists more concerned with how someone spent a 1400 check than Netflix and Amazon paying nothing as they contribute to the wage stagnation and income inequality i just talked about.
Idiots in here talking about "good" smh...

Good for the treesGovernment should invest in more tiny homes shacks. They're pretty nice for what they are..Seattle needs more of em.
All other expenses go in the bushes in an emergency in my book.. To me, nothing is more important than food and housing..
Car notes
hospital bills
cable bills
college loans
etc..
They all got to wait.. If I got unemployment and stimulus money, my housing is 1st on the agenda..

Take the tens of thousands you got in stimulus last year and move. Or buy a ps5 and take a vacation to Vegas. Either or. Which one did most choose?Looking down on the less fortunate is a great American pastime. Nothing makes shallow people feel better than that.
Prayers to those suffering and those that will be soon. Goddamn shame man.
Yeah just move, possibly states and hundreds of miles away when you are already broke. Surely the act of moving whilst low on cash across several states won't cost anything. And lets also pretend that there arent already people in those cheaper states suffering despite the lower cost of living there.... Oh yeah, we are fukking geniuses, we just solved American poverty!
If you read the thread, you’d see the “move” talking point came up when someone mentioned a lot of people in the Bay Area struggling. Literally every place in the country is more affordable for your average citizen. So, if you’re struggling in the Bay Area.........fukking move. People are fleeing Cali in droves. For cheaper places like Vegas etc. so sounds like some people are using common sense. Struggle where it’s very expensive? Or go where your limited funds stretch a bit farther? Why be dumb and stay where your money dries up the quickest in the country? Flat out stupidityall these "just move" comments as if big city populations haven't declined while low interest rates ballooned home prices in LCOL areas and caused bidding wars and increased rents in these areas.
I read the thread. I also read the one intelligent reply that mentions that "just moving" is not affordable for everyone. You conveniently also ignored the point in my post and @Cole Cash's post that cheaper places are struggling too. Again, wealthy folks are moving to these lower cost of living areas and inflating home and rent prices. Most of them have the flexibility of not having children and having remote work options, most of the people struggling don't have that flexibility. Cheaper places like Vegas?! One of the hottest housing markets?? Where supply is dwindling and homes are going tens of thousands over asking? Where rents are seeing damn near 10% increase? If you read the thread, you’d see the “move” talking point came up when someone mentioned a lot of people in the Bay Area struggling.
