making a declaration of a heritage month is way cheaper and polically easier than voting for reparations.

A carribean heritage month might cajole a couple of west Indians in Chillium to vote. But a vote for a study of repartions will get white people in Elkton and Colombia to vote against him.

I’ve had my own thoughts about Wes Moore before this. While it’s nice to see a breh running the state he’s fukking up this state financially. The state had a $3 billi surplus when he got in office. Now it’s like $2 billi deficit and nobody can see where the money went. I work for the state and have seen agencies have to make a ton of budget cuts as a result. Luckily my salary is paid by the revenue we generate so we aren’t affected by the budget

That being said reparations is a slippery slope. While it’s something we are owed it’s not something we are gonna get. That shyt is obvious especially in today’s climate. Him fighting for reparations is career suicide if he has plans past being a governor. All I know is if he runs for governor again he prolly won’t be getting my vote

When I was in DC I refused to go to the school I was assigned to go to I went to a Private school on scholarship for a couple of semesters then when to the one “white” school which was called Wilson SHS ( before they changed the name) and they got me out of there when I started fukking up there.

There’s got to be a school somewhere in the city that a Hopkins Grad would chance some of the areas are too nice to not have one.
