The nations only Black governor, Wes Moore, just blocked Maryland's reparation Taskforce bill.

Sometimes all you can do is hold on to hope. :manny: Our people have come along way in this country, progress has been slow but it has been made. I'm grateful that I have it better in this country than my ancestors did.
Obama showed what holding out hope does......do y'all ever learn y'all lesson?

Malcolm X been told us

“Together, we must take urgent action to address the barriers that have walled off Black families in Maryland from work, wages, and wealth for generations,” Moore, a Democrat, wrote to top lawmakers in his veto message.:mjlol::laff:

nikka reparations could have helped

But he has his suburban home, connections , kids going to good schools and Oprah always around

And he talking about barriers

U nikkaS BETTER STOP HOPING FOR REPARATIONS AND STAY FOCUS ON WORKING, Staying above water and if non of these local state politicians don’t have your best interests at heart, u take their vote away

Bad look.

Some of the vetoed bills went beyond the core priorities of government and would cost money, Moore wrote in one of his veto letters. He noted the state’s tight fiscal situation and concerns about actions from President Donald Trump that could further harm the state.

Claims he has his own plans and also vetoed other solid bills because he's worried about Trump. If that's also why he vetoed this bill, how's he also gonna be able to put forth the plan he claims to have instead? We'll see but idk.

fukk dude, I have no space in my heart for anyone who’d block passageways for reparations or speaks against it. Just another black roadblock. Even if the conditions were favorable I doubt he’d even support it. Cause his rebuttal was some nebulous inconsequential social program fukkery.

Nobody black should be anti-reparations, cacs did a number on all of us and I know if England, France or Portugal offered reparations to descendants of slaves from their former colonies you wouldn’t slap the money out of their hands.
You have a funny name for a Black american.

You’re an Afro Pessmist I’m an american pessimist I’d love for us to get reparations but knowing Maryland politics the last republican cac got in there because the taxes was too damn high mainly in Black as hell PG County

So holmes excuse was he couldn’t justify more spending

Not saying it’s right but I can see the thinking Why vote for an additional study for something that’s not gonna happen?

And to keep it real fukk a study Cut The Check. will a couple Rachel Dolezal’s get a check sure but who’d slap the money out of their own hands because a few non Black americans got paid?

They are called, "Negropeans".

But watch no black artists make a ruckus out of this though.
Watch no Black Politicians in Maryland make a ruckus. State Senator Muse proposed the bill. Hold his feet to the fire because I’m betting that he threw it out there to said I tried and will let it go.

Sen Muse is a wealthy Black Pastor married to a local News reporter other than rebut the letter What is he gonna do about it? Better yet what are his 99% Black constituents gonna do about it? I’ll bet the Republicans don’t even bother trying to run a candidate there. He’s been in his seat for years I was a kid when he ran I’m over 40 now.

Reparations politically speaking is not feasible and are a pipe dream, anyone honest will acknowledge that, spending useful political capitol on what the conservative right wing trump supreme court that abolished 50 years old jurisprudence on affirmative action will declare unconstitutional within seconds its not smart. The same supreme court that dismantled the voting rights act, overturned roe vs wade and affirmative action will suddenly let a racially exclusive policy to black Americans only get enacted and implemented? The notion is asinine. Reparations arent possible until the makeup of the highest court in the land changes.

You’re right however if Maryland made it a tax and taxed all Maryland citizens then Technically it would be constitutional.

However if he did that everybody would leave the state and the governor would likely be shot.
