Some of the increase may be because of cord cutting. I cut the cord recently, but I also got an HD antenna. Free ABC in clear HD. I'm more likely to watch the entire game now because there are fewer BS channels to flip through.

People streaming the Finals when ABC is free for everyone in America

I understand games on ESPN and TNT if you cut cable but all you need is bunny ears to watch the finals.

Some people don't get good reception from their antenna, I don't have cable and my antenna can't pick up channel 11 in NYC at all. I went years without watching an NBA game cause my antenna couldn't get channel 7 and I didn't have cable.
