this only speaks to how great Jordan really was. The NBA, like wrestling(ironically enough), only draws as much as it's top player does. This year they happen to have the top 3 players all in one series, for a rubber match. MJ basically did it by himself

STFU imbecile. The proof is in the ratings. Nobody wants to see no boring ass Jazz and the Hornets in the Finals. There's a reason the ticket sales go up when superteams come to town. If fans didn't like it then why do the ticket prices go up when the super teams come to town you dummy?
Fans love to talk about parity... but how many of these NBA "fans" would watch a Jazz-Hawks finals?

The Lakers and Knicks are far from super teams but prices going up when they come to town playa and it's cause teams have to make their money where they can cause they have 0 demand for a lot of other teams when they come to town.
I went to a Lakers/Hornets game in like 2011 or 12 and prices were stupid. The next day when the wizards were in town tickets were being sold for $2
The tv deals alone significantly shifted the salary cap. Largely buoyed by playoff ratings
I remember how bad the Spurs-Nets finals got shyt on. It was good competitive basketball to me
