Well, aren't these other countries putting out their best talent while at least half of our guys weren't even second options? Alot of role players and youngsters

Exactly team building, camaraderie/culture, and coaching.

That’s how the USA bounced back from those bronze medals they held try outs, they had players working out leading up to it giving up their off-seasons, they had military come talk to the team, they built their team with minimal holes, and had an identity running teams off the floor.
Ain’t no reason why usa shouldn’t be the most defensive and explosive team in these competitions, it seems like recently they been treating this shyt like all star games and wonder why when it gets down to the wire they be losing

Why is it weak?

Y’all care about names way too much.

That’s why Germany won this whole shyt one day y’all will understand it’s a team game and there’s one ball.
That's all they care about is names...
I speak to fans.
They don't know shyt about anybody else except for the Stars.
Maybe the nonstars on the team they are routing for.

shyt is embarrassing

“Even Canada is a roster with a bunch of G League and Euro League players and this is their first time playing together and they looked decent.”

🧢 team damn near all NBA players Shai, Barrett, Olynyk, Dort, Brooks, Powell, Nickeil
Thecoli is loaded BS central with bad posts. Threads like this tend to be from the MJ stans who didn't have have internationals like that in that era that wasn't over 6'10.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
The point is that if the NBA was such an elite league in comparison to the rest of the world the USA should be able to win a tournament like this, even without their top superstars. But that’s not the case anymore. Clearly the world is catching up and you can see how uncomfortable a lot of the NBA guys (including some international players in the league) are with officiating that allows players to actually play defence.
No that's dumb thinking. The whole reason we had dream team's is because we couldn't beat the comp without it, and that was in the 80's/90's when we realized that.

We then tried to short change the shyt again in the 00s with Iverson and the bunch... Had nikkas on the sidelines clipping their nails during the games and shyt.. Got whipped... Had to go straight back to the A team...

Now we doing it again.. Oh just send the reserves, we should be good... Nope

Now we'll send in the heavy hitters, demolish everyone, and send back the B team until we feel we need to call the Avengers again..

We been going through this cycle for almost 40 years

Why did those in charge of USA Basketball move away from the multiple year commitment? Back in 06 all those guys played in the Worlds and then you knew they were coming back in the 08 Olympics(plus added Kobe). Now you got the Worlds being treated as the side quest again being filled with future stars and vet role players happy for the opportunity
Because we proved it... Soon as we win too much we say "we don't need these guys" then get our asses kicked and the world laughs... Then we say "Ok send in THE guys" then the world complains it's unfair... So then we say "we don't need these guys"..........................

And we didn't send the fukking B team... We sent the GOATs and nothing less.

The point was, america sends it's b and c teams, whether pros or not, until they get crushed, then we send in the best

We never start off, nor continue, sending our best.. But I got your point
