I love NFL but they gotta figure out a way to speed up the blank time between plays

u spend more time waiting and anticipating than u do looking at action

NBA is action up and down the court nonstop

Baseball has the same problem

This is the social media/Smart phone era, we not patient anymore

Eliminate the amount of down time and more ppl will watch

simple as that

:manny:
I would argue nfl is more action packed

Nfl will never fall off because it’s one of the most inclusive sports next to baseball while also being as exciting as someone getting knocked out in a fight

It's a big bet, but a possible bet. :yeshrug:

NBA has the Bigger Stars, Bigger Social Media influence and growing youth market.

Football is in decline with youth registration. That's a bad sign. Ask the NHL.
Children playing youth football is declining, says a new survey
I wouldn't go by that.
The NFL product is the best.
People watch a Thursday game between the Colts and the Browns.
Tuesday night primetime Celtics vs Lakers won't get 1/8th of the viewers. Social media generation ain't gonna sit around watching 4 quarters of meaningless mid-season basketball.
I'm noticing a lot of females watching football more too and they never played.

the second they can throw some real money out there it’s gon be a problem — especially for baseball

Were decades away from the MLS ever being relevant probably longer, until you can start signing top players in there prime as an alternative to the big leagues in europe...ur gonna remain at the back in the shadows...

The Crew were oh so close to signing Ronaldo a couple years ago and Messi last year. :jawalrus:

Not even close to a good product. Most of a football game is just the clock running out of time. Very little actual action.

Football just worked itself into a great position when it comes to television. The bulk of it is on Sunday, the day where everyone is mostly at home with family or friends.
With basketball, you have to work around its schedule. It's hard for a person to have interest on a late west coast game on a Wednesday night.

And lets not talk about females.

Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster
This.

i also think the nba would benefit from not overlapping their schedule with the nfl. Like what if the nab season started in February and ran through the summer . Folks really enjoyed the bubble season that was played in the summer. Basketball during the summer was dope

Correct.

Bubble league and the delayed season of 20-21 was dope because finals went all the way until late July.

It was like nba non stop.
