I think it's the opposite. I think the moment to moment NBA game is getting worse. The story lines in the off-season generally more interesting that the vast majority of the in the moment game outside of the playoffs. It looks like the NFL is starting to get into the off-season trade fukkery bag which is what the NBA had over it for awhile now.
I think the NFL piggybacked off the NBA this offseason with the trade fukkery.

This.

i also think the nba would benefit from not overlapping their schedule with the nfl. Like what if the nab season started in February and ran through the summer . Folks really enjoyed the bubble season that was played in the summer. Basketball during the summer was dope

This is not true at all.

and the idea that the two cannot coexist is admitting that we're incapable of following both at the same time.

Basketball in general cannot compete with the outdoors, especially in places where you gotta appreciate that hot ass weather.
Who is paying these players’ bills :mindblown: I understand it’s ad/TV money, but who tf is watching on TV like that?

Maybe because the Royals have been sorry for so much of my life, but idk ANYbody who gives a fukk about baseball to the level the big players get paid :russ:

MLB is the ultimate companion sport. Damn near every day there's a new game, sometimes two, and the places where baseball thrives, they have an eagle grip on it.

Until they get less games, it will never get close. Plus with RedZone, which is uncut cocaine, they are just too good rn
It ain't even that, because every regular season to the average fan is too long, even football.

The NFL has something that no other sport has (and baseball only has in a couple of places): the feeling that you're in a gang when you root for your team. Only politics can match that in this country.

Not buying it. I think football is just gonna get bigger in large part because it's demographics actually WATCH games on television, whereas a large portion of basketball fans watch highlights on the internet the day after the game. As football demos get older they'll be even more tuned into television because what's what old people do lol.

NBA needs to find a way to get people to actually watch games in the season. Sure the ratings aren't horrible but last time I checked the NBA hasn't really matched the ratings of the later Jordan years. Biggest problem is they can't figure out how to make the network TV games matter. Those are the games that make the NFL pop on a weekly basis. Fox, CBS, NBC. ABC hasn't done a great job with the NBA and it's only gonna get worse when Bron retires...

Were decades away from the MLS ever being relevant probably longer, until you can start signing top players in there prime as an alternative to the big leagues in europe...ur gonna remain at the back in the shadows...
Nothing wrong with them being a really strong feeder and developmental league to Europe for the time being and we'll into the future. The majority of the clubs in Europe can't can't sign the top players either.

I never said the two Cannot coexist at the same time. I just said the idea of NBA during the summer is dope. It’s hard to really get to a game during the school year without it interfering with the week setup. I would easily be able to attend more games live during the summer especially with the kids.
