You're an idiot. Amin has a great basketball mind and he was the Assistant Director of Basketball Operations for the Phoenix Suns for 3 years.

anyone who thinks Kobe is a toxic contract is moronic IMO

if the Lakers said they'd be willing to do a salary dump with Kobe, I guarantee you that almost every team with cap space or players with expiring equal to Kobe's salary would try to trade for him

most of the league struggles to sell out their arena. Kobe would make almost any team must watch basketball immediately.

But they can't because he has a no trade clause and I disagree with you. No team would trade for Kobe's contract if they are serious about winning. Not with how the current CBA is set up.

A team like the Bucks that's going nowhere and need a draw. Those are the type of teams that would trade for him.

:comeon: no shyt. this is assuming he waives it

You don't think Indiana would trade Granger and a couple of other contracts to get Kobe if they could? They need another wing who can create his own shot to beat Miami. Indiana with Kobe would instantly be favorites to win it all.

With George's contract kicking in next year? With Hilbert's contract?

Breh, go study the CBA and how the luxury tax works then come get me.

Kobe as a basketball player isn't worth 25 mil. Only Lebron and maybe Durant are worth that much.

"Let's not forgot we will gross more money exponentially by having him on the roster"
I didnt mention anything about that (although whether Kobe will continue to be a massive draw in his :flabbynsick: state remains to be seen), only the silly stanley claim that they gave him a ton of money specifically so he'd have an untradeable contract.

So 25 out of the 30 teams in the NBA currently :ehh:

I can also guarantee you that Kobe is worth 25 mil a year off what he brings in revenue alone, let alone actual play. All these dudes are underpaid.

Top 5 jerseys sold this year, top 3 all star vote getter, largest international star, huge sneaker line.... yeah he isn't a draw

Kobe would raise Indiana's profile big time. They would become the marquee attraction in the league. Jersey sales, ticket sales, etc. Kobe by himself will pay for his part in the tax bill as well as his salary. Did you not hear when Jerry Buss said Kobe brings in more than $50 million to the Lakers each year.

Kobe Bryant is a basketball legend. He more than makes up for his cost. Kobe is worth $50 million at least. Let alone a paltry $25 milly.

Kobe Bryant is arguably still the most popular basketball player in the world. That alone is incredible considering his age and the fact the NBA has been promoting the heck outta LeBron and now Durant.

No. Its way lower than that. The Suns were willing to get rid of Nash who was a Gawd in Arizona and a huge draw. Celtics were willing to get rid of Pierce who was a Gawd in Boston and also a huge draw. Teams that are building for the future and are serious about winning aren't taking on a contract like Kobe's. Period.

You a moron if you comparing Kobe to Nash or Pierce. As Stephen A Smith says, Kobe is box office. Those guys ain't. There are millions of people who watch basketball and follow the Lakers simply because of Kobe. You can't compare him to normal players. The guy is up there with Jordan and Magic as the most popular player of all-time.

We're not just talking about drawing interest from a fukkin city. We're talking drawing interest from fans ALL AROUND THE WORLD. Just look at the Lakers now minus Kobe. They are getting pulled off national TV. You think that even if our record was the same but Kobe was playing, the Lakers would be getting knocked outta national TV?
