The "New" 3DS XL doesn't include an AC adapter

A lot of handheld based devices are excluding power bricks nowadays becuase of the universal standard of most of them utilizing micro usb.
Since the new 3DS will be incorporating a proprietary charger it should include it in the packaging. I don't care how many kids the nation over have had an older version there are always NEW customers (and parents) who will assume that buying a new unit means they will be getting a charger

Just went to Gamestop on my lunch break. I knew the Majora's Mask 3DSXL was sold out online, but I didn't know that even in store they were sold out. Last I heard, if you went up to a store and paid full price you would be able to order one. The guy at the store showed me a message on his screen for the 3DSXL that said something like "Orders of this product not allowed". I went ahead and traded my OG 3DS for the $75 credit and put it down on a new Black 3DSXL. I'm tempted to switch it up for the monster hunter one just to save a bit of money on the game but I like the black one better. That brushed metal look doesn't really do it for me.
As far as them not including a charger with the system:
Yeah it's whack and you definitely need it to use it, but toy companies have been getting away with the same exact thing for years with all the "Batteries not included" toys so this doesn't come as a huge shock to me. Out of the box the system will have a little bit of charge so I don't see it the same as if a playstation or an xbox came without the power cord.
Nintendo for this but it is what it is, I'll just grab a charger at gamestop when I go pick my new 3DS up. And who knows, maybe if enough people complain about it Nintendo will do some kind of program where you show your proof of purchase and they mail you a charger if you need one. They definitely made amends with the ambassador program after dropping the price so soon after launch of the OG.
