Yea, he was the best GM in the league the first half of his tenure, and then became one of the worst after the Chauncey trade.

He also doesn't believe in rebuilding or tanking, unless he's changed his mindset, so will be interesting to see what moves he makes.
Are you sure about this? Perhaps ownership gave the 'no tank' edict?

I don't think the Pelicans are in any position to let great be the enemy of good. Is Presti available? Is he leaving OKC to go to Detroit? Is Tim Connelly? You wanna hire Bob Myers?

Zion's been in the league six whole years and has played over 30 games in a season twice. I think it's safe to say if he ever puts it all together it's not gonna be in New Orleans.

I’ve been over him for at least a year now. That dude just wants to eat fast food and fukk IG thots and pornstars. He’s not serious as a professional basketball player. It’s time to move on from him and build for the future.

He's been working with them for some time now, a few years at least

Louisiana born and raised

Caught all the flack behind management telling him to keep the team mediocre so it could be sold. ( that's why we signed Ben Gordon and the cancer patient)

Doesn't seem to get much credit for building a championship team being the team he was handed was starting John Wallace and Billy Owens. Team has horrible. 4 years later, championship

However, never drafted well at all outside of Prince and maybe Rodney Stuckey, kept drafting players who reminded him of himself if u ask me, not as a player but as a person. Always quiet, very modest individuals.

Not sure I would trust him with a top 5 pick after Darko

Hope he does well. Hate to see him in another organization, him and Zeke should have been pistons for life

Well, yes, as a Pistons fan, he has said this multiple times in interviews. But that was years ago.

Like I said, he may have changed his mindset, and yes, ownership may tell him to tank and try to get as much on a Zion trade. They really have no choice unless they want to run back the Murray, CJ, and Zion trio again.

Detroit You bytch Ass nikka
I really hope Devin Booker is the plan
They were the main team trying to trade for Zion during the trade deadline, I expect them to pursue him primarily with Book #2 and KD #3. Cade and Zion together would be the best duo in the East. Cade and Book?????? I don't really know. They would be good but I'm tired of teams putting multiple scoring guards together, that shyt rarely works.

With Joe D over there and his connection to Detroit, if the owner wants Zion moved, DET can put together some nice packages that would work for New Orleans.

Id also prefer KD over Booker. With KD or Zion the Pistons are a top 3 team in the league.

I can't wait to see how much of a challenge they give New York. If NY easily beats them, expect them to make a move early in the off season. We can compete right now. Adding another 25+PPG scorer should be the main priority, but I'd prefer somebody who Cade can play off of. 2 guards really don't benefit each other.

For all 20 games they play together, I'm sure they'll cook :unimpressed:

And plus, Detroit girls will feast on that trick Zion...he is not built for them. As will every Coney Island in 3 area codes :flabbynsick: he'll look like Cleveland Shawn Kemp in 4 months

2004 was a long time ago and I would have preferred someone younger as opposed to an older retread guy whose last big success was over 20 years ago.

Dumars is a Louisiana guy though, so I get it and he’s probably forgot more about basketball than I know.

I do think it’s time to move on from Zion and Brandon Ingram. Those guys are hurt every year and barely play together. Move those guys and see if you can get some picks and bench players to fill out the roster and build over the next few years through the draft similar to OKC’s formula.

Ingram plays for Toronto breh

Forget where but I read he had a mandate to keep Green and trade Zion. That's crazy.
