If the LFL was propped up by the NFL it wouldn't be the Lingerie Football League. They'd try to take themselves seriously as well to your chagrin, for the same reason the WNBA does. Kinda hard to promote stuff for women's causes like the NFL does and then say to young girls "hey, wanna make it in football? Wear lingerie and PLEASE don't be ugly. Skill is optional."

Here's a question then for you. Why do you have to pretend that anything sports related MUST be catered not just to you, but primarily to you? While women aren't treating basketball the same way as tennis, your losing sight of the fact that the WNBA is 20 years in. Now there's a generation of girls who have grown up not living in a world where the WNBA didn't exist. To continue to develop a niche sport and establish a foothold takes time but it's not gonna happen by deviating from your main purpose, which is women's basketball. I don't give a shyt if Teanna Trump ran point. If I generally don't like women's basketball, I'm not gonna stick around and regularly watch it. So why pretend you'd fukk with a brand of ball you can't stand if only the girls looked less like Sylvia Fowles?

So again I ask in general, why do you feel inconvenienced by the WNBA?

It ISN'T the Lingerie Football League anymore. It's the LEGENDS Football League and they do take themselves seriously. Just watch "Pretty Strong", the reality show they did on the women in the league. Those women drive for hours just to go to practice. They get up and reroot their whole lives just to play in the LFL. It completely rules their lives. They sacrifice everything and aren't even getting paid.

If you were 10 years old in 1997, when the league started, you are 29 now. It's a niche sport. It's not growing no matter how much they try to push it on us.

Women's MMA didn't even exist in 1997. Hell, it didn't exist in 2007 in any real capacity and yet, Ronda Rousey, Miesha Tate, Holly Holm, Gina Carano, and Cyborg Santos are more famous than anybody in the WNBA and they're just now being accepted by UFC and being promoted, yet, they've lapped the WNBA 100 times in terms of growth as a sport in a fraction of the time.

They've been trying to force us to like women's basketball for 20 years, even trying to guilt us with those gay ass "Lean In" commercials and yet they get ZERO traction.

You heard women in this thread saying that even they don't want to watch the WNBA.

Now, I agree it shouldn't be played in lingerie or something, but they should use ANYTHING to promote the league. UFC did. Tennis did. Track & Field has. Hell, even figure skating promoted Tonya Harding kneecapping Nancy Kerrigan. Do what you have to do.

Stop acting like women's basketball by itself will ever be enough of a draw to make money. Promote the pretty broads, play down the lesbian bull dagger shyt, and play up the cat fights
