The NFL has effectively killed the RB position, listen to this stat.

Jonas Gray scored as many touchdowns rushing Sunday as the rest of the league combined.

His 4 TD's were equal to the rest of the league, that means in the 13 other games or so, there was only 4 rushing TD's.

Unfukking real. Look at the stats for RB's, it's a fruitless cause.

Only one 1,000 yard rusher through 10 games, it just keeps getting uglier for the guys carrying the ball
Tell me right now besides the gawd #28 who are the great RBs in the league?

Houston to LA like I'm Robert Horry.
The thing that you notice when the league is moving in this direction is the emphasis on a great QB. Gone are the days that a Trent Dilfer can win a Super Bowl, if your QB can't be effective dropping back 25+ times while limiting turnovers you're going to have a rough time. Only if you have historic defenses like Seattle and Baltimore recently can you offset mediocre QB play, and even then the league inserts some new BS every year to handicap them.

You can't get by with average QB play nowadays if you're defense is average. There are maybe 8-10 QB's that have this ability if they have a decent team around them after that there is just a gap filled mainly of teams peddling along to nowhere. And that gap because of the new rules is even widened further when we talk about Rodgers, Brady, and Manning.

I believe QB's like Cutler and Can would have had an easier time in the league during the late 90's, early 2000's

Read the post again guy. I said unless you have a phenomenal defense like Seattle or Baltimore did recently. Besides, Wilson wasn't asked to throw a lot last year, but when he did he threw it a lot more efficiently than Trent Dilfer ever was. 100 QB rating, 26TD's to 9ints, 63% completion percentage. That ain't average.

I don't think your stat proves much at all. rushing tds are down thisyear, but its not that out of the ordinary

here's the average rushing td per game for the past 20 years

all that elite athleticism being squandered:snoop:

it's especially sad because the rb position is what got me into the game as a young one:mjcry:
eddie george *ricky williams*priest holmes*jamal lewis*edge*l.t.*all the dope late 90's early 00 backs

at this point I've matured and I look at sports as an investment
you get about 10 years of prime athleticism before andropause docks your explosiveness

for all my 6ft+++ homies pick up the point guard position
for all my sub 6fters find a place on the pitch(world football/soccer)

get$$$$$$ righteously
instead of getting fukked for comparative chump change

rbs have the shortest career average and the lowest salary for skilled offensive position:scust:*

it's literally not worth it anymore:to:*

:dwillhuh:Why you typing like a twelve year old girl on some reddit shyt breh breh?

That was a really sound post though :whoa:
