Gambling and FF are the only things holding this doomed league together :to:
Uh, no.
Stadium advertising dollars, ticket/concession sales, television/cable/dish dollars, and merchandising are what keeps the league together. Once fans stop watching games, stop buying tickets, and stop buying NFL merchandise, it's going to fall apart. The CFL tried to make in roads in the US market years ago. That failed because American fans were not supporting the American teams of the CFL. No one went to games, no one watched the games on TV, and no one bought their merchandise.

This thread is even funnier due to the fact the NBA's last strike was due to their business model being broken.

The owners wanted more profits than they already had and had nothing to do with a broken business model.

Love the league and the game, but the injuries are taking it's toll.

All these rule changes, supposedly to make the game safer is causing more injuries.

The fact that defenders can't lay a finger on these receivers now means that receivers are running at a dead sprint in the open field. Compound that with defenders also not being able to go high to make hits or break up passes, means they gotta go low, resulting in more acl/mcl being destroyed when these high impact collisions happen.

And these owners want to make this an 18 game schedule. No one will be left on the roster.:sadcam:

Both the major pro leagues (NBA, NFL) are not as interesting to me like they used to because they got rid of defense.

You are misssing the point bruh
The only point, to all those that matter;

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

The NFL makin' 9 billion a year and Goddell wants that at 28 bil

All these changes are about makin' the game more attractive to a wider, more mainstream audience

I like it; but; the NFL knows folks aren't tuning in for 10-6 defensive slugfest

There is no other point; this is about money and the NFL is only gettin' richer

If we don't wanna watch, cool, there are 30 more casual NFL fans buying jerseys, flags and overpriced concession food

the NFL isnt literally dying. the game of football is becoming more and more a farce with questionable and usually offense-favored calls

yes there are tons of casual fans who watch football, but because they will eat it up why cant we complaing about bullshyt going on ? :what:
I never understood that part. just because something makes money is popular and etc. doesnt mean its good. and all the criticism is dismissed as 'hating'.
