Love the league and the game, but the injuries are taking it's toll.

All these rule changes, supposedly to make the game safer is causing more injuries.

The fact that defenders can't lay a finger on these receivers now means that receivers are running at a dead sprint in the open field. Compound that with defenders also not being able to go high to make hits or break up passes, means they gotta go low, resulting in more acl/mcl being destroyed when these high impact collisions happen.

And these owners want to make this an 18 game schedule. No one will be left on the roster.:sadcam:

This.

There won't be an immediate decline in popularity, but couple this with the emergence of the black QB...I give it 5-10 years before it starts to lost popularity.

:what: The inconsistency in this post. You said the NFL fell off when Chad Johnson fell off, but with the Bengals in the 'offs its complete shyt. You know Johnson played for the Bengals right?

It's a very watered down product. Defense no longer exists but that's what the NFL wanted. The biggest entertainment is the lengths refs will go to put their fingerprints all over games and Cowboys fukkery. :lolbron:

The product is trash. But I still watch cuz the sport itself is beautiful. Leave it to Goodell to fukk it up.

black qbs will cause the nfl to lose ratings? :dahell:

Its not necessarily the black QB, but the notion that black people are taking over the sport. Listen to what some folks say about the NBA post 96, and don't think for a second that it won't apply to the NFL. I say this not to lambast a certain segment of viewership, but there will be some who don't watch it because its becoming too black.

This goes for all forms of entertainment, not just sport...its why you get token characters in media that aren't necessary to push a narrative forward.

I know you're being sarcastic, it was dope over in baseball where a different team was winning the chip for like seven years straight.

Seeing different teams in the playoffs every year is great for business, as every fanbase will think there team has a shot of winning the chip.

The nba's popularity didn't diminish and if it did it was because of jordan. Obviously there are going to be people who don't like black qbs but it's not gonna significantly impact the nfl and there will always be white qbs in the league.

Type in NBA decline in popularity on google and watch all the ratings and articles about it.

Jordans retirement was a major factor, and blacks dominating isnt the only factor...nor will blacks dominating traditionally white positions be the only reason for the nfl's decline. I never insinuated that it was the only reason or the biggest reason, i just simply said it will be an impactful reason. To think it wont is to be oblivious to how much race factors into the popularity of entertainment.
