Sometimes we forget how much sports are just businesses being acted out live. The players are the inventory who can be replaced and restocked in any minute especially if they're damaged goods. (RG3 :mjcry:)

Tommie Harris thoughts on it, conveniently in this podcast

Yeah I hate how brazenly corporate it is.

Ironically I feel the EPL better preserves the esence of sport and they wear ads on their shirts

Maybe that's why they made the stupid Browns pants look the way they do. To get people use to that stupid ads on jerseys crap

I don't give 2 fukks about the NFL truth be told, but If I did, I'd rather have ads on jerseys rather than a game stopping every 2 mins for a commercial :yeshrug:

It doesn't blend at all,you are just use to it. Who wants to a phone company ad take over a jersey ?
. I play for the Samsungs....,,?

the tv ads are about mind control and influence stupid people and everyone else to some degree.

Bruh mayne that ship sailed a while ago

Shirt ads are less obnoxious to my viewing experience than the constant pickup truck/life insurance/shyty beer/dikk pill commercials

Both of the teams I posted are among the biggest sports clubs/brands in the world and are instantly recognized by millions worldwide. Fans don't seem to mind and know these companies pay money to sponsor teams, so the least tey can do is jersey ads.

As a watcher, i'd take that over a game stretched far more than it should because of commercial breaks.

Having ads on jersey >>>>>> stops every other minute for commercials :manny:

This may be true, but it's an ultimately irrelevant point. The sports are different, for starters. Soccer doesn't allow for timeouts or other natural stoppages in play. So the ads on the uniforms aren't in lieu of commercials, they're merely the best available vehicle for advertisers.

And more importantly, should the NBA our NFL ever decide to allow brand logos on jerseys, it would merely be in addition to the commercial time. No league is going to dial back their ad time.

Thats why I'm :childplease: at people feeling some kind of way about an NFL player holding out for more money. :heh:

It doesn't matter what your name is or how good you were a year before. The moment teams think they can take money from you, they will approach you about taking a pay cut or face getting cut . Dez Bryant, one of the top 3 receivers in the league had to make some threats so he could get paid :wtf:
