What does it matter if you score in 13 seconds or 5 minutes. Did KC not allow the Bills to take the lead?

Chiefs tied the game…in OT Bills should have got a chance

Imagine a basketball game in OT ending after the first team scores off the jump ball

In baseball both teams get turns to hit in extra innings

NFL shyt is backwards
Buffalo did have a chance....to win the damn game in regulation :hhh:

KC missed two field goals and were without Honey Badger. Buffalo had every opportunity in the world to win that game. Ain't no sympathy for them

They knew that shyt about OT and couldn't close the deal. Tough fukkin titty

All this "everybody gets a chance", "this isn't fair" shyt yall on is ridiculous.

I don't understand the controversy....

Sometimes I almost feel that the team that gets the ball first in OT is at a disadvantage.

They HAVE to score a touchdown to end the game.
If they go 4 and out.... These muthafukaz can potentially lose on a FG. And that's what we got away from with the rule change.
A FG winning OT games.

So if you lose the coin toss... And are playing defense, your actually in a fair position...
U can get a turnover, them have your offense kick a fg and win...

u can score on Defense and win.

Or you can make them punt... And again win on just a FG.

The team with the ball first has to keep their drive going and score a TD.. or they gonna be sweating bullets

I would say that it should be favored to the team that performed the best during the regular season performance, but since they don't even play all the teams the outcome of the regular seasons says nothing. So by the way the whole league is structured, around randomness, the sudden death system fits in perfectly :yeshrug:

Every
bullshyt this is an offense with the future G.O.A.T. QB, top 5 G.O.A.T. TE, two WR’s that run sub 4.3’s they are that dynamic to score in 13 seconds

The Bills deserve to answer to the score in OT not lose after a coin flip.

When the Chiefs proposed to have the OT rules changed years ago guess who voted no...

The Buffalo Bills :wow:

Ot rule is retarded, with how rules is against defense you damn near don't have a chance at winning if u lose the toss

Oh you’re asking a dumb unrelated question. :skip:

We’re talking about the OT rules. Neither team “took care of business” in regulation. Yet one team in each of those games got a significant advantage simply because of the flip of a coin.
Okay. You got it dawg :gucci:

and they still allowed KC to drive 75 yards WITHOUT assistance of a penalty flag (since the rules are against the defense). They choked like their 90s teams. They didn’t deserve a shot to make it right

So because their defense choked (just like KC’s defense was choking), they didn’t deserve a fair shot in OT? :dahell:

And, yes, I know they were given *a* shot in OT, but to pretend it is fair is sticking your head in the sand. You’ve seen the numbers, can’t pretend it’s not indicative of the advantage that winning the coin toss (which is purely luck) affords.

For the record, idgaf about the 2021 Bills. They knew the rules before they took the field. Their performance does not justify unfairness of a rule when we have decades of instances to assess its equity.

people have always complained about the ot rules, why do you think it got changed in the first place?:usure:

cats in here acting like overtime is some sacred rule or like the NFL doesn't literally change rules every off-season:gucci:

I was, admittedly, in the “just stop the TD” camp…until I saw the numbers.

I don’t see how anyone sees those numbers and still pretends it’s a fair rule. All the opposing arguments boil down to “they should just overcome it :manny:” Which, of course, is silly cuz it ignores the undeserved advantage the opposing team gets. It’s as silly as people who try to dismiss blatantly bad calls with the “they should’ve never let it get to that point” talk.

by this logic, it wouldn't make a difference if the other team got the ball and scored a TD since the team who won the coin toss would just score again anyway (and not even need a TD to do it)

Ive called for OT change long before that game. It should be changed. Niether defense was gonna get a stop. I understand defense is part of the game but when an elite QB is in the zone they cant be stopped. So yea the game was ultimately decided on the coin flip.
It should be changed.

its a simple fix. Both teams get a possession. Who ever has more points after both teams have a possession wins. If its a tie THEN it becomes sudden death. So KC scores TD first. Then Bills would get the ball. If the Bills score a TD they can decide to go for 2 and win or extra point and try sudden death. Fair way to do it. Whats the downside of that?
