I hate when people say this. And it's annoyed me for years in sports, so let me respond specifically to why I think this mindset is why we have horrible officiating in sports. If I have two strikes and then I am falsely accused of a crime, do you think the judge says "well you should have never been in a position to get a third strike anyway...the verdict stands." Like really nikka? That's really your argument? Whatever I did in the past has no bearing on that instance. In sports there are awful plays all the time and teams are able to overcome them. Off games are a part of sports, those are football plays. Refs are not a football play. Their only job is to accurately account for what happened during plays. I can make three awful plays and then make a great one to make up for it, but the refs can make the wrong call and negate my chance at redemption. This is what just happened. To everyone but OSU fans this is going to be the equivalent of that pass interference call vs. Miami in 02 (and it's worse because of the no-call that forced Michigan to kick a FG). But it's how you guys like it anyway. I'm off it. No one @ me in thread anymore, it's all repetitive at this point.
