Bottom Line: You were granted special treatment by sending more athletes than anyone (they didn't even have to qualify)... and you still ended up with about HALF the US medal haul
You can try to spin it any way you want (p4p, gdp, pop, etc) but you still got crushed despite sending out 541 athletes (the biggest ever contingent btw)

As I said before It's just a made up stat for loser countries who want to feel better about themselves. I don't really care what you other countries want to use to feel better about not being on top of the medal haul tbh.

It's pretty comfortable at the top for the U.S though.

Answer me this. If the UK had a population of 300+ million and funded it's olympic programs to the same level as the US, would we still have the same amount of medals?
