Japan lost today because they couldn't finish. If you have the chances to score and you don't take them and the other team takes the rare chances they had then they deserve to win

You a yellow teeth tea sippin faguex but ill admit, your wittyness is top notch. You, gilver, emoney, bobn all learnt a valuable lesson these past two weeks.![]()
If the UK had 300 million people, and funded our olympic sports in the same way the US has over the years, we'd be absolutely running away with it in the medal table.
It's frankly embarrassing for you that we're as close as we are.
What have we learned?
That the US would get more medals? We already knew that, you're a much bigger country than us.
That the UK beats the US p4p? We already knew we would, we're a much better sporting nation.
Seems there's been nothing but reinforced facts to me.
How's that?
It's much more accurate guide than athletes at the games which is massively skewed by the fact that we entered in to every sport as we're hosts, sports we've never competed in, or haven't for decades. Teams/Squads which had no realistic chance of even winning a game, let alone a medal. We entered just over 300 in the beijing games, which is a far more accurate number.
Let's not even get in to the fact that the US pumps money from a bottomless pit in to their olympic programs.
In the UK funding for a sport is only achieved based on the success in that sport, which is a retarded system but there you go. Do you know where that funding comes from? No not the government, not private investors, but from the national lottery fund.
Considering these factors the UK, at 3rd in the table is punching MASSIVELY above it's weight and is having a much better games than the USA.
You can all choose to ignore this stuff if you want, and you can all post as many US>UK stuff as you like, but you ALL know what i'm saying is true, but your american arrogance won't let you admit it.
Britain
Pound for pound kings![]()
By that criteria, Grenada would lead the medal table (pop. 110,000)![]()

You're mad because we're a more accomplished sporting nation than you. You shouldn't be, we traditionally always have been.Gilver is like a broken tape.
Why do you keep posting the same shyt over and over after getting sonned?
You got special treatment by getting more athletes than anyone else into the Olympics by virtue of being hosts (541!)... Athletes from other countries actually had to qualify for most of these events!
Yet, despite flooding the competition with athletes all over the place, you still only got about HALF of our medal haul... at home!

p4p doesn't mean shyt mate, I've never heard a scientist or anyone in the academic world use your p4p in an academic way.

It's a sexier way of saying per capita.
Blame yourselves for me needing to dumb things down.![]()
As I said I've never seen it used in an academic way.
