His offense is crude, he has a good base just because he's coordinated and agile, but KG as a youngin was a monster and would have shaved Anthony's brow at mid-court.

Anthony Davis Generating Majority Of Offense Off Cuts Put Backs - RealGM Wiretap

Basically someone else is doing all the work for him to score, plenty of guys show flashes, hell Drummond had some where he was scoring for himself in the post. It's a matter of can they consistently do it at the next level.

The Cavs need to take Drummond, don't make the Valanciunas mistake again.
I never said he was KG brejin.I agree with everything you said (Except the crude part, that's just the Kentucky system and him growing in confidence slowly but steaily that didn't allow him to be that monster that he will be)

Homey just said that he was another Camby, and I had to address that because anyone that watches the game can see that davis is INFINITELY MORE SKILLED THAN CAMBY COULD EVER HOPE TO BE.

agree with houston's comparison to Bosh. very on point. but I think he'll end up being somewhere more skilled than Bosh but not quite on KG/Dirk levels.

The difference between Davis and Drummond is that Davis doesn't have a Dwarf mentality, he just played within the offense of a highly succesful coach/team/system with establish upperclassmen in the backcourts. Drummond is SCARED period, in the Wesley Johnson mode. If a struggling UCONN had Davis instead of drummond they would have let the man go off

Every cotdam inch of GA..except the racist parts
i don't know guys...i'm just not sold on Davis..i don't know why....its just something about him that doesn't make me a believer. He'll be the first pick no doubt. His offensive game is better than camby's when he came out of college but truth be told thats not saying much.....i think that he'll top out at a 14ppg 9rpg type of player...but we'll see

Davis has a good base, I think he'll end up being a PF, and I really hope the Bobcats do not get him. Dude will be ruined by that franchise.

Who is your top pick after Davis?

DRUMMOND as of right now

Deandre Jordan got 10.5 mil a year
Javalee mcgee will get 12+ mil a year
Ibaka is gonna get possibly 15 mil a year

Athletic big men who can catch the ball are hard as hell to come by. If you don't draft em, you've gotta overpay them and pray the team with their rights doesn't match

I don't see how you pass on 4 years of cheap labor with a guy like drummond. He has an NBA body, he's strong, hes explosive, he's quick

People forget he only played 3 years of high school ball. I wouldn't be surprised if some teams liked drummond over Davis

I don't agree on the Camby offense part either, he's a lot more coordinated and fluid than Camby. But, for a big man his offensive skills are crude, he has guard skills which will help him transition over but his actual moves and post game is crude. Just compare his offensive game to Boogie's as a freshmen, it's not terrible but it needs a lot of polish.

Eh, I think Drummond could be better, he also has guard skills and is far more explosive than AD. I don't think he's scared as much as he's confused on how to play the 5, don't let that man-child look fool you, he's actually younger than Davis. Plus, that backcourt trio of Lamb, Boatright and especially Napier was completely allergic to passing. If a team like the Nets drafts him and lets him play the 4, he could be an absolute monster, cause he has the quickness to defend 4s, but is 6"11 275lbs.

Somebody sell me on MKG, I just don't see it

I think Harrison Barnes will be better than deng

Barnes can't dribble. Any time you have a player like that without that skill, it hurts. It's like drafting a guy who only knows how to shoot from one particular place and if he's not there then he's useless.

:rudy:

a 3 In the NBA doesn't need to do anything besides dribble 3-4 times MAX to get to a spot or to utilize their length and get to the rim, and Barnes is perfectly capable of doing that in the college game much less in the nba game where he'll have more space

He hasn't done that though. He's been very inept at being able to create. If he could at worst he'd be the 2nd pick. Not having good enough handles is what hurts his ceiling.

LOVE this kid. Definitely only rated so low because of his conference and the talent in this class.

I want him on the T-Wolves since they passed up on Marshon Brooks three times last year.

Minus the quickness he also passes the eyeball test. But dude is pretty explosive. I've seen him almost get level with the rim on a couple of dunks.

He's like Neo, he just needs to believe he is the one.

Everything to be a superstar is there, he even has a good handle for someone 6"11.

Who would you compare his game to?

Only video of him I could find, mind you it was the season before, and it's only a highlight reel. But dude's range and confidence is phenomonal and can go lights out all while having a strong offensive skillset. Honestly, kinda like Marshon Brooks.
