If these academies/camps that the nba and nfl players go to can improve their games/lose weight/add muscle so much wouldnt it be beneficial to just take a loan out and go on your own during the summers?(before you are even draft elgible)

He's mobile for a big fukker, good hands too. The thing is the Cavs have no wing players outside of Gee (if they re-sign him) and I'm not sure Drummond will be that much better than Beal who fills a serious need. We could use a center but neither TT or Varejao is a reliable scorer away from the basket.

The Cavs will likely be in the lottery again next year so I'm not really sweating whoever they pick as long as its not Barnes at 4.

And Gee is not a starter in the NBA. They need the B.P.A I don't think Tristan is a NBA starter.

What seperates tristan from Booker and Gibson and some of the other high motor energy bigs. In fact why was he the 4th pick?

I'm not saying you said any of that. I just wonder what is going thru the CAVS mindset I really think they should of stashed Valunius

The Cavs made such a huge mistake taking Tristan, he'll never be a star and it boxed them into a corner in this draft. It should have been Jonas, or trade down and take Burks.

What's the hype about Lilliard? granted im just seen him on youtube clips but he looks like a decent undersized 2 who can get to the basket but isnt crazy explosive or anything

Byron Scott likes high energy guys with limited talent that are coachable..

A lot of these picks are also because of politics are not necassrily which guy is the best player all the time

A gm may not want a guy he has to stash away in europe for a year or two evne if he thinks hell be great because hes just trying to save his job and win as many games as possible now..

I just hope either the Wiz or CAVS realize that they can have there sg position set for the next 10 years if they take beal to go along with there pg's. Beal will be a good player off bat.

The Cavs have the perfect situation for Drummond, with a PG and a good coach, plus he would be coming off the bench for atleast a year or two. But, they will probably do what they do and play it safe taking Beal or Barnes.

I read from a Cavs columnist that they would've taken Thompson 3rd if they had the chance

I actually think TT did well for having no summer league, limited training camp and less practice time. He could develop some type of post game down the line but he'll never have a J.

The Cavs made such a huge mistake taking Tristan, he'll never be a star and it boxed them into a corner in this draft. It should have been Jonas, or trade down and take Burks.

We'll see what Jonas does this year. I was kinda mad at the pick too and wanted them to trade down for Burks or Klay Thompson.

Now I know they're rebuilding and aren't gonna be very good for a while but the Cavs have no clear plan for filling out the wings. They have ONE injury prone, undersized 2 guard on contract. I have a problem with taking another player that can't create his own shot, it puts an awful lot of responsibility on Kyrie's shoulders. I thought we were done running the team like that.

Normally I would say take BPA but it's not that simple this year. Varejao is only getting older and we still don't have a reliable wing or post presence going into the 3rd year of rebuilding. Cavs will regret missing out on Beal.
